The uniforms worn by Aeropartner’s flight crews are inspired by the so-called Service Dress of the Royal Air Force of Great Britain from the Second World War. Through their design, they pay tribute to the courage, professionalism, and dedication of Czechoslovak pilots and mechanics who fought on all fronts between 1939 and 1945 and played a vital role in the liberation of their homeland.
Pilot uniforms
The pilot uniforms are based on the original surviving cut of the formal Service Dress worn by General František Peřina. The design has been carefully adapted to meet contemporary requirements for comfort during flight operations as well as movement outside the aircraft, while incorporating modern materials.
The uniforms are adorned with original historical insignia, most notably the RAF pilot wings of Czechoslovak airmen and the so-called “domovenka” (domicile badge) worn on the shoulder. This badge symbolised patriotism and was worn by most non-British personnel serving in the RAF. It reflects the historical period when Czechia and Slovakia formed a single republic – Czechoslovakia.
Pilot ranks are indicated by sleeve braids: four braids for captains and three for first officers.
Flight attendant uniforms
The flight attendant uniforms are loosely based on the Service Dress worn by members of the WAAF (Women’s Auxiliary Air Force) of the RAF. They consist of several interchangeable elements, allowing flexibility according to operational needs.
The main piece is a blue jacket matching the pilots’ uniforms, complemented by a skirt or a sheath dress. The uniforms are made from modern natural materials to ensure comfort even on longer flights and in warmer climates.
The flight attendant uniforms are also decorated with period insignia, including the Czechoslovak domicile badge, the gold RAF Pilot Wings Sweetheart badge, the flying albatross symbol, and rank insignia in the form of two V-shaped braids.
